Garbh Coire refuge
Originally built as a shelter for climbers it is a small structure in the Garbh Coire between Braeriach and Cairn Toul just off the Lairig Ghru.
It was in a poor state of repair for some years before the MBA fully renovated it, making it watertight and much more pleasant to use
Garbh Coire is seen as a refuge rather than a bothy, and should be used as an emergency shelter rather than as a planned destination.
