Ugly House/Ty Hyll
Ugly House/Ty Hyll

Ty Hyll or Ugly House is situated just outside Capel Curig in Snowdonia and is now a lovely little tea room owned by the Snowdonia Society. The building is shrouded in mystery, with its origins reportedly going back to 1475 when 2 brothers built themselves a hideaway in the forest. The date is carved over the fireplace.

Why it's called the Ugly House I don't know as I think it's beautiful!

I originally painted it in watercolour using wax resist to give some texture to the stonework and roof.

Professionally printed on high quality archival, fine art textured paper. All prints come mounted in a 14 x 11" mount with backing board and cello bag and are signed and numbered by the artist.

A4 limited edition print £35
