Male Redstart (Phoenicurus phoenicurus)
Redstarts are a favourite of mine and this one posed nicely for a photograph when Gary and I were up in Scotland and I just had to paint him. The Welsh name for Redstart is Tingoch which literally means 'red bum' which describes the bird well!
